Assault on the vault of the ancient bonglords! Cheetos and beer cans strewn across the stone floor. Quietly tread or die where you stand at They will challenge you to a Mortal Combat! Assault on the vault of the ancient bonglords! We fight with the might of a thousand power chords Read the missive from the Lord and his letter of credit The letter was too long so we’ll probably forget it

about

Video and Theme song to the three CD boxed anthology "Assault on the Vault of the Ancient Bonglords" that was never included on the actual boxed set but released separately as a free digital single

Original Press Release:

"You are familiar with "Lawrence of Arabia" right? The sweeping locations, the majestic cinematography, David Lean's grand direction, Peter O'Toole and Omar Sharif's iconic roles? Well, this is nothing like that. No, this is the newest video made by the Linus Pauling Quartet over the course of a beer (and other substances our legal department prefers we not discuss) fueled Sunday afternoon for their upcoming 3-CD Module Anthology, "Assault on the Vault of the Ancient Bonglords" .

The band wrote, arranged, and recorded the music to the theme song in a fortnight and the inspiring lyrics you see above that set the stage for the video (penned on a Star Pizza box by Charlie Naked and Ramon LP4) can still be found somewhere on the studio floor...probably behind the couch. The video follows Charles the Naked who, frustrated by the D&D module "Conan Unchained," finds a world of adventure (and surpisingly no women) as he leads the quest to obtain the bong of power from the sleeping ancient bonglords. Guests include Robert McCarthy of From Beyond as one of the bonglords and some ninja dude as well as Stevie Sims of Burn the Boats in a multitude of roles including a Wizard, a bonglord, an assassin, and some dude with some eyeball creature sticking out of his back... I dunno he was pretty drunk by that last one.

While at this moment we are awaiting word from the label (Homeskool and their PR posse) as to what they are going to be doing with the completed video, we wanted to give you guys a private preview screening of the video and the module because we are having a module release show this Saturday at Cactus. The song, not included in the anthology, will be given out soon as a free on-line download because it's Christmas and that's just how we roll.

"Anthemic, stupid and selflessly unrestrained, the LPQ eventually attain self immolation of sorts during the sprawling chaos."-Ptolemaic Terrascope-UK
